Product Description
The history of this small producer of Verzy, a village where Jean Paul Deville has his house in the center of the AOC Champagne, has a rich history of tradition and respect for the quality viticulture. Champagne Jean-Paul Deville is a story of several generations of Champenois winemakers, passionate about their terroir. Nestled on the hillside of the Montagne de Reims, Verzy enjoys an exceptional combination of local geology, geography and climate which have earned it the sought after title of Grand Cru, a title shared with only 16 other villages among the 324 “crus” (champagne-producing villages) found in the Champagne region. The diversity in grape varieties, “crus” and vintage years offered by our domain enables us to produce unique champagnes which are full of character. We own and grow our vines, we vinify and sell our wines. As we are responsible for every step of the process, we can guarantee full traceability on all our products, from the vine on our land to the bottle. Since 2013, the Maison is led by his wife and four sons of Jean Paul, who died prematurely, which continues with passion and skill the work begun by his father.
There’s something about Blanc de Blancs that stirs the senses. And in a very real way, Blanc de Blancs is forbidden fruit to the Champenois. Blanc de Blancs remains a curiosity in some quarters because of the simple fact that it is made solely from the Chardonnay grape.
