More subtle and complex than the new 12 year old, and not as sweet. Creamy in texture and floral on the nose, with dried vanilla, gentle spice, nectarine, kiwi, plum, and lemon gum drops. Soft, elegant finish with a hint of mint. Great balance of a variety of flavors and lots of finesse. A well-crafted whisky!

Balblair single malt Scotch whisky is intriguingly complex and satisfying. We capture the intense esters at the start of the spirit cut to give our Whisky the core characteristics of apricots, oranges, spices, floral notes and green apples. The heavier oils and lipids at the end of the cut are also captured, giving leathery, nutty and full-bodied characteristics.

The Original Ten encapsulates the signature smooth and multi-layered character of Benriach. Three cask matured for at least ten years in bourbon barrels, sherry casks and virgin oak, to create layers of luscious orchard fruit, sumptuous honeyed malt and toasted oak, all interwoven with a subtle trace of smoke. The perfect introduction to our signature style and richly layered Speyside Single Malt.

To make Benriach Twelve, Benriach spirit is three cask matured for at least twelve years in sherry casks, bourbon barrels and port casks. The whisky from each cask is then expertly married together to create a smooth, sherry-rich single malt, layered with baked fruit, maple honey and cocoa, perfectly balanced with a lingering sultana and spiced mocha finish.

One of Speyside’s greats. Elegant and austere. Gradually, almost reluctantly, reveals itself. A palate blossoming with flavours, and a long, lingering, finish.

A great cask strength whisky showcasing all the flavours of all the Glenfarclas style in one glass. Glenfarclas is renowned for producing Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky in the very traditional Speyside style, with a heavy Sherry influence.

The nose is quite gentle and very fragrant with notes of honey and hints of green apple, in the background, a supple peat. The palate is full with notes of heather roots and damp earth, notes of honeyed sweetness with ginger, a touch of rum with malty peat. The finish is long with winter spice.

Fine whisky is not created by technical innovation alone. Carefully selected barley was expertly malted, then combined with cold, clear water direct from the Tamdhu spring. The final ‘ingredient’: fine oak casks from the most trusted sources. Together, these elements combined to ensure the unswerving magnificence of every drop.

A lighter more delicate expression of Balvenie. Light honey sweetness, malty, with heavy cereal notes, and mild play between white pepper and oak. The finish is crisp, dry, oaky in a raw, chewed toothpick kind of way. This isn’t going to rock your world or anything but it’s a fine introductory malt.
