From the Aberlour Distillery established in 1879, this Whisky shows subtle aromas of spice and hints of autumn fruits with a soft and long satisfying finish. Aged for 10 years in traditional and Sherry oak casks this classic Malt Whisky will appeal to true connoisseurs.
-
Sweets for the sweet: Aberlour has always made a subtle, almost delicate malt, although with a goodly hit of sherry-barrel oak to keep it from floating away. The non-chill filtered version foregoes the fine filtering that prevents whisky from clouding up when you add ice. It also sucks out just a little bit of the flavor. Without it, the Aberlour is perceptibly richer. A malt for a winter’s evening by the fire.
-
Roses, candyfloss, slightly buttery. Perfect balance of sherry and the malty, spicy, house character. The two elements are tightly combined, with the spicy flavours emerging slowly: nutmeg, aniseed and emphatic orange-flower. Complex and sophisticated.
-
More subtle and complex than the new 12 year old, and not as sweet. Creamy in texture and floral on the nose, with dried vanilla, gentle spice, nectarine, kiwi, plum, and lemon gum drops. Soft, elegant finish with a hint of mint. Great balance of a variety of flavors and lots of finesse. A well-crafted whisky!
-
Only the very best casks have been selected, ensuring a whisky of unsurpassed richness: it is by far the most indulgent Aberlour expression. A whisky of perfect structure, the ultimate expression of Aberlour.
-

-
Aroma of intense caramel, malt, dark chocolate and oak that gives way to notes of vanilla, espresso beans, smoke and a touch of honey on the palate. Finish is long yet smooth, with hints of mellow charcoal, dried apricots and tobacco.
-
While India may not be the first country to mind when great world whisky is mentioned, the Fusion Single Malt is about to change all that. Considered by Jim Murray to be the 3rd best whisky in the world as part of his 2010 Whisky Bible, the Fusion is a phenomenal amalgam of flavours, aromas and texture the envy of most, even in Scotland.
-
“Kadhambam” in Tamil means “combination” or “mixture”. The name reflects the idea of whiskey that is aged in three types of barrels. Of smoked and cured whiskey spirits whiskey made primarily mature Oloroso sherry casks, then travels to the brandy and finally the rum barrels. This combination gives the drink an unusual combination of flavors and aromas.
-
You can tell the quality of the distillate and the barrels it has been matured in by the crystalline depth to the finish. Everything is clear on the palate and the butterscotch vanillas wrap the phenols for a comfortable and clean finale.
-
Amrut peated malt is made with barley peated and malted in Scotland, but distilled in Bangalore and aged in a combination of new and old American oak barrels. Absolutely everything you could ask for a peated malt at this strength. The length and complexity are matched only by a train journey through this astonishing country.
-
Deep amber in colour; pronounced aromas of fruit, plum, prune, caramel and spice; full bodied with resonating flavours and a fruity long finish that shows evidence of oak.
-
This Indian single malt whisky has been matured in PX Sherry casks. This is a robust and intense offering, with punchy clove overtones wrapped in layers of dark forest fruits and fruit jam. The palate reveals chocolate notes, cinnamon, toffee, dusted with coffee powder. Neat and comforting. Speaks volumes to the skill of Amrut’s blenders.
-
Aged in selected oak barrels, this single malt displays a nose of anise and sweet vanilla with a touch of toffee and charred honeycomb. The palate brings with it a richness normally associated with the very best Scotch Whisky and leaves you with flavours of molasses and cream toffee balanced with a subtle dryness to finish.
-
The anCnoc 12 Year Old is renowned the world over. Known as a must-have in any whisky drinker’s collection, it’s light and yet complex. Smooth yet challenging. And each twist and turn delivers a surprise. In fact, this is a dram that has something for everyone.
-
Wholly maturing anCnoc in American bourbon barrels allows the characteristic intense citrus notes to shine through. anCnoc 16 Years Old has been bottled in its most natural form, as it’s neither chill-filtered nor coloured. As a result, it may develop a light haze with the addition of water or if kept at a cold temperature. This haze is a natural characteristic of whisky that is unchill-filtered.
-
Matured predominately in American oak, ex-bourbon casks as well as Spanish oak, ex-sherry butts, anCnoc 22 Years Old displays complexity and a wealth of character but its long lasting rich, smoky finish sets this dram apart from the younger offerings.
-
Straw-gold color. On the nose, sweet toffee, citrus notes, seaweed, and spice complement a powerful peat smoke infusion. In body, it is thick and oily. On the palate, a somewhat sweet maltiness up front is run over by a powerful peat smoke locomotive. Again, the whisky is enriched with citrus and pear notes, spice, and seaweed. The finish is powerful, long, and warming.
-
Powerful, muscular, well-textured, and invigorating. Even within the realm of Ardbeg, this one stands out. The more aggressive notes of coal tar, damp kiln, anise, and smoked seaweed are supported by an array of fruit (black raspberry, black cherry, plum), dark chocolate, espresso, molasses, bacon fat, kalamata olive, and warming cinnamon on the finish. Quite stunning!
-
An alluring Islay example, with a big peat nose that's balanced out by salt spray and iodine. Delights on the palate with honey, bread dough and candy flavors that mix pleasingly with the remains of peat and salt. The finish is long and candied, with a whiff of smoke at the end.

The unabashedly briny opening bouquet is all peat, sea salt and salted focaccia; time in the glass serves to bring out a refined Sherry scent. In the mouth, it’s lean, surprisingly sweet and acutely resiny. Ends pine-like, resiny, moderately salty, fruity (yellow fruit, like yellow plum or banana) and semisweet.
-
This new release is an improvement from the original Darkest, both of which are succulently sherried. It is fuller in flavor and more visceral, in both the nose and palate. These differences are subtle, but positive. Notes of lush fruit, raisin, pot-still rum, and Heath bars. Citrus and wood spices emerge, along with burning peat embers that linger on the finish.
-
This 18 year old integrates the sherry notes with the Bowmore signature to create a richly flavored Islay whisky experience. Thick toffee, ripe fruit, and tar-tinged smoke are accentuated by dark chocolate, cocoa powder, burnt raisin, dates, and sea salt. Long, entertaining finish.

-
This latest Port Charlotte vats many different kinds of casks together, including bourbon, sherry, French wine, and Spanish Tempranillo. There are lemons and citrus elements on my bouquet. Lots of lemon tart and lemon peel, with a hint of what’s coming with the smoke. There is a sweet grassy weight to the bouquet that reminds me of chamomile tea with honey. The citrus fades away then apples and clementines becoming much more present. And what was gentle smoke becomes sturdier on the finish.
-
The texture of Bruichladdich's Port Charlotte scotch whisky is extraordinarily rich with the smouldering heat of peat fires and a huge depth of character. Trickle distilled from 100% Scottish Barley the spirit gently matures in the lochside village of Port Charlotte before being bottled at the distillery using Islay spring water.
-
While well known Islay distillery Bruichladdich are famous (infamous!) for pushing the boundaries of distillation, sometimes a true classic is hard to ignore. They have created a malt that is happy-go-lucky, an any time any place kind of spirit. Stamped with the trademark silkiness of palate that Bruichladdich is famous for along with a harmony of oak and gentle warmth that truly reflects those who have made this classic malt.
-
Continuity. Ageless values. Time is simply immaterial for the artisan distiller. Years pass by. The grist is ground, the mash steams, the wort simmers, the spirit trickles. And the angels get their share. The baton may get passed on, a new generation’s ideas, but Bruichladdich – the heart and soul of Bruichladdich – always remains reassuringly immune to time.
-
Malty sweetness, peat, oil and smoked meat. Some lemon pudding notes come later, as the whisky evolves and improves. The palate shows a malty sweetness, green barley, some creosote and treacle toffee. A real beauty for fans of smoky whiskies.
-
