Deep ruby colour; aromas of dried red fruits, spice, raisins and figs; full-bodied with sweet fig, raisin, date and spice notes.
-
Rich aromatically, black forest fruits especially plum, stand out in the nose, with oaky notes of pine and cedar, floral tones of rockrose, hints of “sous bois”, and spices such as cloves and nutmeg. An excellent body, well-present acidity, lively yet well-integrated tannins and hints of black forest fruits on the finish.
-
Dark raisin and dried apricot flavors manifest on this immensely dark, old gold hued wine. Enormous concentration, as with the initially, almost painful acidity that comes through the spirit. This is an old wine, no question, but not too old, one to be savored in sips with all the flavors working at high intensity.
-
Deep red, opaque and inky, intense fresh red fruit aromas. In the mouth, rich plummy flavours with hints of strawberry are supported by soft tannins which give a firm backbone.

This is only the second release of a Quinta do Seixo vintage from Sandeman, which has held the estate in its portfolio since 2007. It is distinguished by the fact that all the grapes come from this one property, in contrast to the house’s main vintage expression, which has not been declared this year.
