Product Description
One of Ireland’s finest whiskeys, Tullamore Dew was first distilled in 1829 in the small town of Tullamore in County Offaly in the heart of Ireland. The name derives from the initials of an early owner, Daniel E Williams – DEW. Tullamore Dew is a distinctive Irish whiskey with a smooth, mild, mellow taste. This smooth taste is a major feature of the brand compared to many Irish and Scotch competitors. Experts describe Tullamore Dew as “subtle, smooth and with a pleasant maltiness combined with charred wood undertones and the natural flavour of golden barley”. Tullamore Dew’s particular taste character depends on the correct balance of mature whiskeys blended together.
Golden amber color. Creamy nougat, raisin, and minerally alcohol aromas follow through on a soft entry to a dryish light-to-medium body with delicate honey, cereal, and creamy flavors. Finishes with a fig, oily nut, and peppery spice fade. Shows its grain alcohol character.
