Product Description
Saint James rums find their origins in Martinique. The brand possesses its own lands which allows it to meet a big part of its needs in cane, as well as a distillery sheltering the most important stock of old rums. The appellation AOC Martinique proves a superior requirement highlighting its link with the terroir as well as its craft know-how. The rhum agricole is made by fermentation and distillation of the pure juice of the sugar cane called “vesou”. It distinguishes itself from some industrial or traditional rum produced from the molasses, the residues of the sugar refinery. The brand offers the widest range of old rums in Martinique and the distillery has always crafted quality rums regularly rewarded in the various international competitions.
Clear in the glass, The bouquet shows a vegetal scent which suggests fresh-mown grass and gentle banana funk. The palate opens with a minty breeze, moving into grassy funk mid palate and finishing with a complex mix of menthol, peppery jalapeno zing and a coconutty exhale to smooth it all out on the finish.
