Product Description
Daddy Rack (a name J.Arthur Rackham’s eldest daughter Grace gave to him). His lifelong ambition has now been realised with a new collaboration with an experienced and exciting team of distillers and cellarmasters creating an original Tennessee Straight Small Batch Whiskey recipe, true to tradition… This exciting and unique little tipple is produced using local farm Corn, Sour Mash fermentation and Double Copper distillation and uses a Lincoln County Maple Charcoal filtration system. Daddy Racks Master Blender follows the process from start to finish and uses a total of only 20 specially selected American Oak Charred Barrels for each Batch which is all produced under their original recipe.
The bouquet shows softness, with the strength fully integrated in the aromas of caramel, maple syrup, dates, toffee and a marked spicy note (nutmeg, cinnamon). Intense and full, it shows vegetal and mineral veins that dampen the wave of sweetness, leading it over time to become more delicate and elegant with a slight hint of wood. The palate brings spiciness that tingles decisively thanks to ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon and a hint of aniseed, but soon all the warmth of the distillate arrives with chocolate and coffee, albeit with less incidence. The notes are in fact declined more on the bitter side, the vegetal part leaves a clear imprint on the flavours, bringing with it nuts (roasted peanuts, macadamia) and a fresh balsamic note with menthol traits, especially along the length. The finish is quite long and fresh, where the balsamic continues, blowing on spices, coffee, chocolate and caramel.
