Pierre Ferrand 10 Generations Cognac
Ancestrale is one of the oldest blends of Cognac found on the market. This true rarity is made from four vintages from the late 1920s, 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. These ultra-old vintages are called bonificateurs, or concentrated Cognac used to make a blend taste rich and complex, are usually used sparingly, befitting their rarity.

Pierre Ferrand, world renowned for its fine 100% Grande Champagne cognacs, is introducing a special cognac to complement a superior smoke : Pierre Ferrand Cigar Blend, Reserve Havana. “We wanted a cognac that is in balance with a structured cigar. This cognac works well because of the inherent structure of Grande Champagne cognacs”, explains Ferrand’s Jean-Dominique Andreu, an avid cigar smoker himself. For six years, they have been the sole cognac suppliers to the prestigious Club des Parlermentaires Amateurs de Havane, which counts among its members France’s top politicians.
Golden honey in colour. The bouquet shows honey, apricot, coconut, caramel, fruit cake and raisin aromas. Then develops into rose, orange blossom, nutmeg and ginger spice. Expect notes of dried fruits such as baked pear, Muscat grape and pineapple soaked in Sauternes, gently toasted nuts, wildflowers and spring blossom on the intricate palate. Finish is long and fresh with minty notes, then hints of fresh tobacco.
