El Ron Prohibido Solera is produced from the sugar cane fermentation resulting cane wine, which is distilled in column still. Matured in oak barrels adopting the solera system used to make Jerez which consist to mixed rums from different maturation stages giving its complex sensorial profile and its intense aromas.
Even the first sight of this dark, perfectly matured rum reveals the intense aromas of this long-matured El Ron Prohibido. The bouquet shows sweet flavors of dried raisins and oak are first noticed. With a fine hint of dried fruit that brings plums and a hint of vanilla. The palate has a soft texture, which, accompanied by chestnuts and dried fruits, leaves a wonderfully harmonious impression.
