The artisan aging in American white oak casks and careful blending are exclusive recipes of the Serrallés family that have been perfected through six generations. From Puerto Rico, this expression combines 9 to 12 year old rum with liquor drawn from a 50-year-old solera system. Its profile is mature, as you might expect. Deep complex bouquet of molasses, cigar tobacco, white chocolate, and dark caramel. Cigar box and tobacco give this exceptional Rum and almost vegetal edge. Dried fruits and fresh berry notes counteract some of the headier sweet vanilla and toasted oak, and the overall balance shows masterful blending. Smooth and lush with rich notes of vanilla, cinnamon and honey on the finish. This is a great sipping rum.
