Curado takes its name from the pulque curado, another ancestral Mexican drink, which is characterized precisely by the infusion technique of cooked agave. And this is precisely the procedure that underlies this product: in a 100% Tequila from Altos de Jalisco, one of the best varieties, three types of agaves cooked following the technique of each region are infused in the distillery of La Alteña. provenance: the Blue Weber of Arandas, the Espadín of Oaxaca and the Cupreata of Michoacán. From the three different infusions of these agave decoctions, the same number of references are born, characterized by extremely different tasting notes, thanks to the organoleptic properties that each quality of agave brings.
Bright pale gold appearance. Intensely fragrant, with notes of Rhododendron leaves, oregano, black treacle and just a hint of gorgeous smoked paprika. These aromas develop and begin to offer up notes of nutmeg, pan-fried habanero chillies, hops and Muscovado. The palate shows smoky which offers up charcoal, caramel sweetness and Dandelion and Burdock. There are hints of linseed oil, paprika, tomato puree, manuka honey and pancake batter, and huge spice notes (particularly cumin, turmeric and cassia bark). It ends bittersweet with burnt cedar wood, white pepper, parsley and toffee brittle.
