The rum is aged for 2 years and charcoal-filtered to remove color and impurities. The bouquet is pretty mellow, with a touch of sweetness and fruitiness, but nothing really dominates. It’s a simple, well-rounded aroma. An initial sip shows that it has surprisingly little burn, some sweetness and fruitiness on the finish.

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 oz Bols Blue Curacao liqueur
2 tbsp Bols white creme de cacao
1 tsp cream
METHOD
1. Pour the rum, blue curacao, creme de cacao and cream into a cocktail shaker half-filled with cracked ice.
2. Shake well. Strain into an old-fashioned glass 1/4 filled with ice cubes, and serve
