Like the man himself, this is altogether more considered and elegant, mixing whiskeys up to 25 years old for a complex experience. Instead, lemon and lime zest, kumquat, and blood orange entwine themselves around vanilla, nutmeg, and soft, drying tannins. No big knockout punches, but it goes the distance and wins unanimously and easily on points.

As with all the great old liqueurs, the combination of Irish whiskey, honey and spices delivers a most distinctive flavour and a wonderful taste experience.
-
Triple distilled and cut from the heart of the distillate. Left to mature in selected American oak casks, this whiskey has a spicy, bold character. An unmistakable flavor.
-
It’s an outstanding example of Irish, rich and mouth-filling, with a warming, luscious body. The nose is slightly hot, offering hints of honey and cinnamon. The body, however, is far more sophisticated and complex, and not really hot at all. Deep honey notes, vanilla, caramels, and touches of barley. Slightly nutty on the finish, with hints of charcoal and chocolate, too. This is a whiskey that offers tremendous depth, not something you typically associate with Irish, which is often made in a simpler style.
-
Distinctive, full bodied aroma, with lots of character – fruity, malty and nutty sweet sherry flavours all intermingling. Complex, assertive, well flavoured, slightly sweet. Sherry succulence, melt-in-the-mouth maltiness, with just a hint of toasted wood in the background.
-
Big, fat and sweet. Butter and raisins. Forms slowly with pineapple, stewed fruits, malted milk, coconut, cereal, cocoa, orange. Big (but balanced) oak. The palate is round and rich. Sweet dried fruits, brazil nut, coffee, soft malt, popcorn. The finish is long. Plenty of oak but the spirit holds its own. An extra dimension to the 10 Year Old.

Deep amber colour. Medium-bodied, with a silky mouth-feel. Some sweet citrus, mocha and vanilla flavours with floral hints of heather and lilac. Soft, elegant finish with an expanding warmth.
-
Highly Recommended…A full, sweet nose brimful with nutty butter toffee and a hint of sherry wood. Refreshingly green mid-palate, this is a very soft and elegantly balanced whiskey that floats over the palate. A complex amalgam of malt and sherry wood bound together by a rich smooth fruitiness.
-

-
The early floral yet biscuit flavour reflects the grain whiskey, while the soft spicy notes can be attributed to the pot still whiskey in the blend. The citrus flavour is contributed by the malt. Finally notice the nutty or even marzipan note combined with distinctive vanilla in the finish – imparted by the sherry and bourbon casks used in maturation.

-
Launched in 1995 by the Cooley Distillery, it was the first single malt peated Irish. 75% of the barley malt used is peated. Color gold, connemmara reveals amazing. A blind, it evokes nothing Irish style and shows a lot more like a single malt Scotch share his size and aromatic typicality. The elegant and perfumed nose evokes malt and licorice with a slight smoky peat. Creamy and balanced palate confirms the aromas of the nose. The finish is quite long.
-

Redbreast 21 year old completes a hat trick for Irish Distillers, but this is by far and away the best Irish release of the year. It’s an immense whiskey: oily, spicy, rich, gloopy, and with red berries, menthol, and citrus abundant. It’s complex, too, but you don’t have to live with it long to realize what a gem it is. And very well judged: the oak and spice suggest that these first fill bourbon and sherry casks had reached the edge of a cliff.

Jameson stands apart from other whiskey because of its exceptionally smooth taste and unique Irish attitude. Jameson has all the credentials of a premium Irish whiskey brand, but doesn't take itself too seriously.
-
Powers is a rich, round, complex and full-flavoured drinking experience, rated as “One of the best in all Ireland. Classic stuff!
-
High-toned, crisp and citric: lemon, lime and tangerine peel with a hint of mintiness. The palate is zesty. Lemon, honey and spice. Nice rye balance towards the finish. Touch of light woodiness getting oily as rye shows its hand on the finish. Very well-balanced. The uptown sophisticate, a discreetly charming member of the bourgeoisie.
-

-
Pale amber color. Bold cinnamon red hot and pine cone aroma with a lightly syrupy sweet medium body and a pure honey and hot cinnamon and root beer candy finish. Cinnamon delivered as promised, but where's the whisky?
-
While many Jack Daniel’s expressions can feel very sweet and dessert like, this falls closer to the savory end of the spectrum.
-
In case you didn't know, Frank Sinatra was known to drink Jack Daniel's. A lot of Jack Daniel's. Now Jack is returning the favor by honoring the man who was such a loyal fan. Jack Daniel's Sinatra Select is made from barrels that are hand-selected by Master Distiller Jeff Arnett for a fuller flavor and darker color, then mingled with classic Old No. 7 to result in a drink with a smooth, bold character — just like the man himself.

-

-
With a distinctive spicy flavour and long, soft finish, Jim Beam Rye is an interesting change for those who want to broaden their Bourbon horizons.
-
Tincup is one of the gentlest I’ve ever had, which is the antithesis of how we usually consider high-rye spirits. The nose offers vanilla and butterscotch, and as it opens up in the glass, dusty wood notes develop. This all leads into a quiet and surprisingly understated body: apple cinnamon, vanilla caramels and ice cream, and chocolate covered raisins. Curious strawberry notes, something you don’t typically find in bourbon, come along on the finish, which is otherwise silky, moderately sweet (solid caramel notes returning here), and hard not to like.
-
Expertly blended to create a generous wine with rich varietal flavours of cassis, blood plum, a hint of leafiness and sweet spicy oak.

The nose on the Four Wood is wonderful, a deep bouquet that makes you think of peach pie coming out of the oven, a bit of orange zest highlights, hints of maple syrup and brown sugar. But first impressions aren’t always true.
-
Deep, complex and subtly sweet; hints of cinnamon, clove, rich caramel and pipe tobacco, with a nutty oak character. Full flavoured and robust oak with layers of anise, dark berries and cherry fruit, warming cinnamon and clove spice notes on the finish.
-
Bright honey/topaz colour. The early aromas include gentle grain, toasted honey-wheat bread and tobacco leaf. An oily, toasty beauty seduces the taste buds at palate entry with dry flavors of cereal grain and mild oak resin – the mid-palate include sweet and oily flavors of raisins, grape- fruit, charred oak and cadied almonds. The finish is long, corny sweet and moderately fiery.
-
More than a spirit, more than a whiskey, this bourbon is a tribute to all that is unique. Buffalo Trace is the flagship bourbon from the multi award winning Buffalo Trace Distillery. Only after unanimous approval will bottling commence. Buffalo Trace is rich, complex and smooth in taste.
-
The deep bronze colour beautifully reflects the light – perfect purity. Aromas of lanolin, almond oil, creamed corn and toasty oaky/vanilla. A high- spirited, lusciously toasty bouquet that has top-notch Bourbon written all over it.

Youthful and very lively. Bold, crisp, spices (mint, cinnamon, vanilla) are softened by soothing, sweeter notes (candied fruit, coconut, caramel, and rum notes), becoming dry, flinty, and spicy on the finish. It is very clean and polished, and it is superior to other rye whiskeys in this age range. Nicely done!
-
Only the rye from the Lawrenceburg Indiana distillery can quite conjure a perfect rye aroma such as this…Cinnamon and crunchy moscovado sugar crystal on green apple…so soft…so rigid…so unique…Exactly as the nose is fashioned, so is the delivery… But nothing compares in nose and delivery to this…in fact few whiskies in the world even get close.
-
An intensely grainy bouquet. The palate entry is corny sweet and nearly honey-like; at midpalate the core flavor of sweet corn mash remains while tastes of buttered popcorn, brown sugar, and nougat expand. Finishes with a spurt of fire and lots of long, corny/grainy tastes.
-
The bouquet offers a blend of fine citrus and strawberry with underlying biscotti character. A fresh, elegant palate with bright strawberry and citrus fruits, enhanced by a complex minerality. Fresh, natural vibrant acidity provides backbone and finesse, and supports a long, crisp finish.
